Music Video Coventions: Music Video

 

This is the second film project I have ever did. I can say that I have made an ample amount of progress since the first one, which was a 30 second commercial. Due to this being my second film project, I didn't run into as many problems as I did the fist time. But, I did encounter a few. One of the problems that my partner and I encountered was actually filming. Due to the pandemic, we couldn't film in the same place like we originally thought we would. Speaking of "we", yes, this project was a partner thing. This was the first film project that I did with a partner. Having a partner made some parts easier. For example, during the first filming project, I had to do all the blogs myself. Having a partner allowed me to catch a break. Having a partner also helped me remember when certain things were due. This particular film project has taught me even more about filming over all. It has taught me how to incorporate different things when doing a long storyboard. It has also helped me with lip-syncing. I like that we had complete creative control. It allowed us to become creative when choosing a song. This project wasn't as stressful as the first one and I am grateful for that. Overall, this project was really fun. From deciding which song we should do to editing the final video, I enjoyed doing it all. Well, after all the work we got it done. Take a look!

Production Blog: Halfway There

 My group and I are still currently filming our video for our final task. The due date for the assignment is almost near and we are halfway through the video. We currently recorded the parts where we decided that we were going to split then this weekend, we plan to meet up at a park and rehearse the last scene of the film. Due to the fact that the assignment is due in a week, I think my group is on perfect timing. After the meet on Sunday, we plan to start editing the video so that we can attach it to our blogs. On Sunday, it is our last shooting day out of 4. We plan on meeting up at a park where we all are close by, and we will shoot the last minute or the last few seconds of the film. The beginning or the first minute and a half of the film, we did all our recordings at our homes by ourselves. This works because it is like everyone is getting a phone call from separate areas. Production Blog: First Few Seconds

During spring break, my group and i started our recording process for our film for our final task. Our group  has been working hard to get our first scene right. The first clip of the video is about 15 - 30 seconds long. After finishing it the editor of the group has begun doing the editing process of the film. Since the break, we haven't done much recording since. We want to film each scene piece by piece. We also understand that some of the group mates might b busy from time to time that's why we broke up our filming dates. We are also still currently in the starting process of our film. We do plan on doing some more recording this weekend since we do have a 3 day weekend and it gives us much time to do some recording. We plan on recording our second scene of the film and then try to do some more recording throughout the week. Production Blog: Sunday and Final Plans

 Finally, my group and I have officially decided what we were going to do and we confirmed it. So now, because we still haven't recorded our final part of the film, which will be recorded on Sunday, we are still at Base B with our film but for sure we are almost done. Currently, every member of the group has their own parts. Like said before in the last blog, we want to start editing our film around next Tuesday so that we can submit our film on Thursday. To start editing on Tuesday, we have to submit all of our clips by Tuesday so our editor of the group can start editing. It is for sure that every person apart of our group will be in the film. I will be in the first clip, I will be the one who commits suicide. Most likely I will only be in that only clip of the film. I will also be apart of another clip but I will be on a flyer.
