Editing Blog: Powerade Comercial

The editing process of my commercial was easy but hard. Though it was a 30 second commercial, it wasn't too hard and there wasn't many transitions and editing to do because it wasn't a long video. Usually for me, editing takes a long time, but this time it was very simple and easy to do. In my edits, I used different transitions and animations to my movie. I used the iMovie app in my phone because that is the easiest app that I use that is able to edit my clips. On the iMovie app, it comes with its own transitions so I would only have to put my clips in and then use what is provided for me to transition into each scene. But for the other editing structures used for my video, I basically did it myself. I added words, music, animations, and I was the one who recorded and directed the while thing. The adding the animations had to be the hardest part of the project, it was very time consuming and it consisted of me having to search up Youtube videos, pictures, and examples for how to do it all. I added animations like pictures, and other things like that. For the music, it was kind of easy, It had its complications while trying to make the video, but overtime, it began to come together and start working. The music was in the background and the description was in front of it the whole time. The first 10 seconds of my commercial is basically the description and that is what i showed in my filming blog. It was easier to do it this way because I felt like as if it was a good way to grab the viewers attention with the way it popped up and sounded when it first comes on. The adding of the words and the description had to be the easiest part for me. Basically, all I did was typed whatever I wanted to be there, then added it onto my iMovie clips. When I used my wording and descriptions, it was, for the most part, really basic. I didn't add any emojis or anything like that because that is not how real commercials would usually go. But overall the editing process was very smooth even though there wasn't a lot of editing going on for me. The video was so short that I felt like a lot of edits were not necessary. Throughout my editing process I have learned how to edit better and I have learned how to manage my editing time and not take up so much time just to edit my video.
