Creative Critical Reflection - The Powerade Commercial

This commercial project was a great experience for me. It helped a lot with me improving my media skills which includes editing, and creating scenes. I have also learned a lot from doing this project and it was also very fun. Even though there were minor complications throughout the project, I still managed to do good and have fun doing it. My product, or commercial challenged conventions was challenged very well in my opinion. Though this was one of my first real official projects that I have did actual filming on, I think I gave what the audience would be looking for in a commercial even as a beginner. I gave them the thrill, the excitement, and i'm sure the audience that did watch it, attention was caught. In the beginning of my film, it started off as fast lights and thrilling music. Then it went into the information about my product that was in the commercial. The way that my commercial could have possibly represent social groups or issues was by promoting the Powerade product. I say this because this is what commercials are usually for, promoting. So if there was any social issues about this product, for instance, the sales are low, then we would need a commercial to promote it more and that is what I brought to the table basically. The way that my commercial engaged with audience would be by wanting them to purchase a Powerade. This is because basically, my commercial is based on the beverage and i'm kind of promoting it in a way. So if there is an audience that is watching my commercial, it is most likely a way to persuade them to purchase themselves a Powerade. The way that the commercial would be distributed as a real media text would be as like a real commercial. Even though this commercial isn't an actual commercial, there are real Powerade commercials that are out there. My production skills has improved very well throughout the project based on my filming skills from the first project. I am still not the best and yes, I do need major improvement but I am way better than last time with filming, editing, directing, and other filming necessities. I integrated with technologies in many ways throughout my film and throughout the process of the whole project. I use technologies from my computer to my phone, from my phone to editing apps, and they basically just go on and on.
