Filming Blog: The Powerade Commercial

During the time spent doing this blog, I have learned a lot from it. On 10/28/2020, I started filming my commercial. This day, everything seemed so messed up for me. It was raining the entire weekend so I could not leave the house even if I wanted to. Because of this, I had to improvise. I called my friends that were helping me with my filming and told them that I was canceling it and that they didn't have to worry about going out anymore. After that, I changed my filming setting to my own home I had my Powerade bottles ready and my mom helped me film my project. For filming, I used My mirror and a cloth as a background setting and I think it came out pretty well. As I moved my filming setting, my mom and my sister helped me do my whole set up. The first part of my commercial is basically wording so that it can catch the viewers attention. Then after that, you see the beverage sitting up lined next to each other. Since i'm doing the editing process on my phone, it is usually more harder to make it look like how it would look on a real commercial but I tried my best. I used different angles  to capture different shots of the bottles. I used angles like lower angle, side angles, and upper angles. I filmed my mom and sister drinking two different types of the drinks and in the last clip, we are all drinking and tasting the drink together. Even though my commercial didn't come out the way I initially wanted it to, I think I still did pretty good. Something I probably would do differently would be have another back up plan if I would have to relocate the setting to my house like I did this time because that kind of messed a lot of things up for me. Something that I've learned from the activity is how to better my editing skills while making a video project. Each time I do one it really gets easier for me every time so maybe the next filming project we have where i'd have to edit should be better than the last one and this one. Production Blog: Halfway There

 My group and I are still currently filming our video for our final task. The due date for the assignment is almost near and we are halfway through the video. We currently recorded the parts where we decided that we were going to split then this weekend, we plan to meet up at a park and rehearse the last scene of the film. Due to the fact that the assignment is due in a week, I think my group is on perfect timing. After the meet on Sunday, we plan to start editing the video so that we can attach it to our blogs. On Sunday, it is our last shooting day out of 4. We plan on meeting up at a park where we all are close by, and we will shoot the last minute or the last few seconds of the film. The beginning or the first minute and a half of the film, we did all our recordings at our homes by ourselves. This works because it is like everyone is getting a phone call from separate areas. Production Blog: First Few Seconds

During spring break, my group and i started our recording process for our film for our final task. Our group  has been working hard to get our first scene right. The first clip of the video is about 15 - 30 seconds long. After finishing it the editor of the group has begun doing the editing process of the film. Since the break, we haven't done much recording since. We want to film each scene piece by piece. We also understand that some of the group mates might b busy from time to time that's why we broke up our filming dates. We are also still currently in the starting process of our film. We do plan on doing some more recording this weekend since we do have a 3 day weekend and it gives us much time to do some recording. We plan on recording our second scene of the film and then try to do some more recording throughout the week. Production Blog: Sunday and Final Plans

 Finally, my group and I have officially decided what we were going to do and we confirmed it. So now, because we still haven't recorded our final part of the film, which will be recorded on Sunday, we are still at Base B with our film but for sure we are almost done. Currently, every member of the group has their own parts. Like said before in the last blog, we want to start editing our film around next Tuesday so that we can submit our film on Thursday. To start editing on Tuesday, we have to submit all of our clips by Tuesday so our editor of the group can start editing. It is for sure that every person apart of our group will be in the film. I will be in the first clip, I will be the one who commits suicide. Most likely I will only be in that only clip of the film. I will also be apart of another clip but I will be on a flyer.
